Over the past day, some customers have experienced intermittent unavailability of Oceanir, including pages that do not load, sign-in attempts that fail, and analyses that do not complete. We recognize that many of you rely on Oceanir for time-sensitive work, and we apologize for the disruption.
This update explains what is happening, what we are doing about it, and what we recommend in the meantime.
What happened
Oceanir runs on Railway, our infrastructure provider. Railway identified security vulnerabilities affecting its platform and initiated a coordinated response, which included temporarily pausing deployments across its customers.
In parallel, and as a precautionary measure, we are applying the required patches and hardening our own environment, including rotating credentials across the services Oceanir depends on. While this work is in progress, some parts of the service, sign-in in particular, may be unavailable or degraded.
Our response
Our priority is to restore full service without compromising the security of your account or your work. We are prioritizing remediation over speed, and we will bring services back as each step is verified rather than all at once.
Our review of this incident is ongoing. If we determine that any customer data was affected, we will notify impacted customers directly.
What to do right now
- If sign-in is not working. This is related to the remediation work described above and does not indicate a problem with your account. There is no need to reset your password or create a new account. Please try again later.
- Your account, plan and credits. No action is required. Your account remains in place, and purchases made during this period are recorded by our payment processor and will be reflected in your account once service is fully restored.
- If an analysis does not complete. Please avoid submitting the same photo repeatedly while service is degraded. Once access is restored, your history will show any analyses that finished in the background.
- Service status. Current availability is published at status.oceanir.ai, which runs separately from the main application. View status
- Contacting us. For anything time-sensitive, email [email protected] with the email address on your account and a short description of what you are seeing. Email support
- A precaution. Oceanir will never ask for your password by email or message. Please treat any request of that kind with suspicion and report it to us.
What comes next
We will update this post as service is restored. Once the incident is resolved, we will conduct a full post-incident review and share the measures we are putting in place to reduce the impact of provider-level events on Oceanir in the future.
Thank you for your patience while we complete this work.
