12

Your Rights and Account Deletion

Depending on where you live, including if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have rights over the Personal Data we hold about you. Those rights can include access, correction, restriction, portability, objection, and erasure (the right to be forgotten).

12.1 How to delete your account

You can delete your account yourself in Settings. Hold the delete-account control to confirm. You do not need to email us. A request sent to [email protected] is processed the same way.

12.2 What happens when you delete

Your account is closed immediately. You are signed out everywhere, your API keys stop working, and any paid subscription is cancelled. You cannot sign back in.

Personal data associated with the account — including uploaded images, analysis history, and the account record — is retained for thirty (30) days after you confirm deletion, then permanently deleted from our systems. During those 30 days you cannot create a new Oceanir account with the same email address. After the 30 days, that email may be used to register a new account.

We may retain limited records where we are required to do so by law, including billing and tax records held by our payment processor. Those records are not used to provide the Service to you.

12.3 How to exercise other rights

For access, correction, or other requests that are not account deletion, email [email protected]. We will respond within thirty (30) days.

13

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

14
